Typography

Martian Mono is a typeface designed by Evil Martians . It is a monospaced version of the Martian Grotesk font for code style design. It inherits Grotesk's brutalistic and eye-catching aesthetics as well as all of its benefits—metrics equilibrium, readability and intelligibility, and convenience for web developers and designers who believe in a systematic approach to design.

EB Garamond is a typeface designed by Georg Duffner . It is a revival of Claude Garamont's famous humanist typeface from the mid-16th century. Its design reproduces the original by Claude Garamont: The source for the letterforms is a scan of a specimen known as the "Berner specimen", which, composed in 1592 by Conrad Berner.

Tech Stack

This website is built with performance, accessibility, and developer experience in mind. The tech stack reflects my commitment to modern web development practices while maintaining simplicity and sustainability.

Built in Astro and SCSS . Interactive components are powered by React, with TypeScript ensuring code quality throughout. Hosted on Vercel with an automated deployment pipeline. No analytics, no tracking.

Accessibility First

Built following WCAG 2.1 AA standards with additional enhancements through the comprehensive accessibility menu. All interactive elements are keyboard navigable, content follows semantic HTML, and color choices maintain appropriate contrast in both light and dark modes.

Eco-Design

Designed to minimize environmental impact through efficient code, optimized assets, and reduced resource consumption. The Eco and Eco+ modes allow users to further reduce the site's energy footprint by minimizing animations and replacing images with SVG representations.

Progressive Enhancement

Core content and functionality work on any device or browser, with enhanced experiences layered on top for modern environments. The foundation is semantic HTML, enhanced by CSS, with JavaScript added selectively only where needed.

Performance Optimization

Fast load times are ensured through code splitting, optimized assets, minimal dependencies, and efficient rendering techniques. Special attention is paid to Core Web Vitals metrics for a better user experience across all devices.
